Fountainhead's Ken & DaveFountainhead was founded by keyboard player/vocalist Ken Griffen and guitarists Art Deske and David Kufta in 1974 and continues to perform. The members currently with the band include Ken and Art with Gordy Folsom on drums since 1977, Stephen Nystrup on guitar since the late eighties, Susan Rivard on vocals since 1999, and Paul Bugnacki on bass. Fountainhead plays their own music and interpretations of great classic rock , blues and country songs. A poll conducted by the Hartford Advocate rated the LP Live at Toad’s the number one local album for 1981. It charted at # 6 of all national releases in Connecticut. The album sold over 20,000 copies and received airplay on all FM rock stations in CT. During this era the band was voted number one in Connecticut People’s Choice awards a few times.

Fountainhead has appeared in concert with many of the great bands including Lynyard Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws, The Jefferson Starship, Link Wray, Pure Prairie League, and most recently Dickie Betts.
